Prerna Singh is an Unconventional play specialist. She has a doctoral degree in geology focusing on facies and sequence stratigraphic studies of the Barnett Shale. She has more than a decade long work experience in onshore domestic shale plays including the Wolfcamp, Bone Springs, Barnett, Marcellus, Haynesville, Woodford, amongst others.
She interconnects geology, rock physics, and geophysical data, wherever available, to tangibly solve subsurface jigsaw and constructs a coherent picture of the critical components necessary for highest hydrocarbon recovery. Over the years she has worked with Chevron, BP, Schlumberger, in projects involving Business Development, Research, Exploration, and Appraisal. She has provided several in-classroom and online training to industry professionals in fields of geology and rock mechanics of unconventional plays covering areas of stratigraphy, petrophysics, mechanical rock properties and their applications in rock stimulation, frac conductivity, frac geometry, and re-fracturing.
