Very informative course covering cased hole formation evaluation/pulsed neutron logging including physics of measurement, job planning, logging modes and inelastic interpretation methods used by different service companies in concise manner. Special mention for section 2 where trainer starts with physics of measurement, goes to explain working of pulsed neutron source and than explains significance of detectors, detector characteristics, detector selection criteria and their effect on inelastic C/O data. Kapish Sinha is a Petrophysicist with 13 years of experience with special focus on advance petrophysical data interpretation and integration. His area of interest are probabilistic & deterministic formation evaluation, Nuclear magnetic resonance and elemental spectroscopy data interpretationand integration on open hole side. In cased hole side his area of interest is interpretation and integration of pulsed neutron data and production logging data. He has worked extensively on both carbonate and clastic reservoirs while working in countries such as India,Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh and South Korea.

While working for a major service provider, Kapish was credited with winning and executing numerous high profile interpretation projects in different countries of South East Asia.

Kapish played an instrumental role in successfully introducing Halliburton’s cased hole services to Petronas in Malaysia in year 2012-2013 and in introducing Halliburton’s three detector pulsed neutron tool to Chevron Thailand in year 2014-2015.

Kapish Holds a Masters degree in Geophysics from Kurukshetra University, India and Bachelors degree in science from Maharishi Dayanand University,India. Currently Kapish is working with Petroleague oilfield consultants as scientific advisor offering seminar, mentoring and training to junior petrophysicist and petroleum engineers.
