Description
This 2-day Spotfire Advanced Analytics course is designed for professionals who already have a foundation in Spotfire and want to expand into advanced calculations, statistical analysis, and application development. The training focuses on building deeper analytical capabilities and enabling participants to create more dynamic, automated, and insight-driven dashboards.
Participants will learn how to perform advanced calculations using calculated columns, custom expressions, and the “Over” function, allowing for more flexible and powerful data analysis across multiple datasets. The course also introduces key statistical techniques such as clustering, regression, and classification models, providing the tools needed to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships in complex data.
In addition, participants will gain hands-on experience working with data functions and introductory R scripting to extend Spotfire’s analytical capabilities. Advanced data transformation techniques, including pivoting and restructuring datasets, are also covered to support more sophisticated workflows.
The course then moves into advanced authoring and development, where participants will learn how to build interactive and automated analyses using controls, text areas, and dynamic visual elements. Topics such as information modeling, SQL editing, and data connections are introduced to help users work more efficiently with enterprise data sources. An introduction to IronPython scripting is also included, enabling further customization and automation of Spotfire applications.
